Paychecks for non-exempt employees are issued every other Friday, for the two (2) week period ending the previous Sunday. Exempt employees are paid on the first of the month, covering days worked during the previous month.

Wages are subject to applicable deductions and withholdings. Consistent with the Colorado Wage Act, such deductions may include amounts to reimburse the University for employee theft, indebtedness, equipment sabotage, and failure to surrender DU property.

If you believe an improper deduction or withholding has been made to your pay, you should immediately report this information to Human Resources. If the University determines that an improper deduction has occurred, you will promptly be reimbursed. Similarly, if there is an overpayment, the employee will be required to reimburse the University for the overpayment.
